It's a BOY!!!

We found out yesterday that we were having a boy!

The ultrasound was such an amazing experience, I could have sat there all day while the technician scrolled around showing us all the parts of our baby. All I can say is he is beautiful already. Today I posted all of the pictures she gave us up on our bulletin board, so I can look at him everyday.

short and sweet

I have been noticing a change lately. In my appetite, in my lifestyle, and even in my attitude. I've become addicted, or even more addicted to watching Martha Stewart and no matter what we have, I have GREAT ideas for the baby's room. I've been in the crafting mood like crazy, but I just never have the resources to do anything. Luckily my mom took me to Reno last weekend to go to craft fair so I could get a few things and even more ideas!

Work, well work has become insignificant to me. I've pretty much lost the will to go, I still do don't get me wrong. But the little, microscopic hours I get schedule have become annoying. I don't even want to think about the holiday season coming up. I dream of walking in and just quitting! Someday that will be reality, but not now.

I had a doctors appointment yesterday, and everything seems to be going good! I kept getting asked by everyone it seemed like, if I was feeling the baby move. I mean, HELLO? I don't know? First baby here, how am I supposed to know what it feels like!? Next month the ultrasound is scheduled! I've pretty much gotten mixed responses of what everyone thinks we are going to have, and I have no idea so it definitely will be a big surprise either way! It is going to take forever to get here...

Progress?

Well, I have not been feeling nearly as sick as usual. The beginning of this week was amazing! I was back to feeling normal, no sickness at all. Now it has returned in little amounts, I'm hoping that the worst is behind me. Wish me luck! My next doctors appointment is in a couple weeks, I really don't know how much different its going to be, little bear is still pretty small, we won't be able to tell the sex for a couple months. I can't wait until then!! Plus around that time I will become an Aunt. What an eventful holiday season we are going to have!

Update

Its been quite a while, I never think I have too much to write about because my life is pretty much the same from day to day. BUT it has changed dramatically recently. I'm PREGNANT!!! I had gotten to the point in my life where I was content and realized that when it was time for us to have a baby, it would happen. Well, I guess as soon as you stop thinking about it, it happens! I am due March 25th! Close to my sister and father-in-law's birthday. Besides being sick every night (I have night sickness, not morning sickness) we are doing great! At my first doctor's appointment on Thursday, Jon and I got to hear the heartbeat! It was pretty amazing.

I LOVE Orange Fanta, almost more than candy sometimes. I asked my husband if he could go get me one, and he came back with a whole case! Ice cold orange Fanta in a can... delicious

This poor dog is hurt :( :( it was horrible last night seeing her hurt... she was playing catch with her favorite outside toy, her Frisbee, and she either stepped on something or stepped wrong because ever since then she hasn't been using her back foot. She will let Jon pull on it, push on it, and gently squeeze it but once she gets down she won't put any pressure on it! I've been Googling and Googling all night and all day and all I can find is that maybe she pulled a muscle or a tendon. If she isn't better in the next few day we will have to take her into a vet. She doesn't wimper, she just lays there not wanting to do anything. I hope its nothing serious. SHE IS MY BABY!

WOW

Time has flown by since I last posted, and SO many things have change.

I did receive my charger, and it worked! But, needless to say, NOW I can't find the cord that plugs it into the computer so I am still at a loss... someday I will have a fully functional camera, someday.

Jon and I are moving! Jon got a job in Lovelock, and he's been commuting for a while, but he found an a pretty nice and pretty cheap apartment for rent, so as soon as we are approved we are heading up (or down) there. I am putting my 2 weeks notice into the Dollar Tree tomorrow because I got a job in Lovelock. I wasn't excited about this move when it was first planned out but I am getting more and more as the time goes on.

I plan on getting something so I can hook up my camera and post some pictures on here, but that will have to wait until everything is final.

Attempt #2

My husband bought me this for Christmas:

It didn't come with a charger so I was only able to use it a few times before it died, my mother graciously bought me a charger from Amazon, I tried it out when it arrived and being so excited I threw away all of the paperwork, and so when I figured out that the charger didn't work I was screwed. That was a while ago and I finally! ordered the new one (below). I hope it works!

What would I do without my man?
He keeps me grounded.
When something wrong happens I freak out, stress, and panic. He remains calm and logical.
If it weren't for him I wouldn't last very long in this world.

Moving along, slowly

I start work tomorrow!
My first day at the Dollar Tree is tomorrow morning at 7AM. I've been out of work for a while so waking up that early is going to be quite the challenge, especially since I have a cold.
Yes, I have caught another bug, surprise surprise. Where is a cold vaccine? Come on people, we've gone to outer space, have portable computers (my blackberry), and electric cars. WHERE IS MY COLD VACCINE!!!!??? I'm so tired of being sick, I really want a break.

I have been researching about how to get over this cold quick, all I really find is consuming a lot of Vitamin C, eating whole grains, and lots of rest. I usually can get lots of rest, but this week that isn't going to work out. I'll just get an IV of O.J. put in and be set.

One word... EMPLOYMENT!

I got a job! Shocking, I know. I am employed at the Dollar Tree here in town. It on'y part time, but I was hired on about two weeks ago, and had a bunch of paperwork to fill out and I haven't worked a day yet. It is frustrating, but I keep focusing on the fact that at least I have something, even if its a little something.

I babysat, or doggy sat my BFF's little chihuaua Sophie, she is so cute and was in LOVE with my dad. :)

Jon and I are trying to get healthier, so during the one week of sunshine and warm weather, we took advantage and went on a hike up at Grimes Point, I think Maggie loved it the most. There was a sign that said they wanted you to leash your dog, but honestly if your dog isn't a problem do, and won't run away and terrorize people, I don't see the point. Maggie pretty much stayed by us the whole time, and if she was on a leash, she wouldn't have had nearly as much fun.

Also during that week of sunshine Jon and I went target shooting my dad's 22. I can say I need some practice, but I'm getting better. My goal is to beat the boys :) someday.

Early V-Day

Since Valentines day falls on a Sunday this year, Jon and I are going to head to Reno tomorrow and see some movies and maybe eat at our favorite place, Panda Express. It came down to two movies to choose from, Jon and I would see both, but we would prefer the other. Jon really wants to see:

I mean, how amazing does that look? I've become obsessed with the Fantasy movie genre, and this movie fits well.

Maybe both? We will find out.

Auto Show

Jon, David, CaTina and I went to an Auto Show in Reno last weekend. It was a pretty cool one cause they were all the newer model cars, and you got to sit in them! So what was the first car I chose?? A Prius of course!

My days are running together.
I cannot tell my Mondays from my Fridays.

If something exciting happens during the day, something quickly makes it go away. Life says to me "you didn't really think I was going to let that last did you Bethany?"

I was hoping by now I would be able to post about Jon having a new job, but still no. It has been over 2 weeks and we still get the answer "we will call you back." The call never comes.
I found a job today on craigslist, its in Reno (I'm a city girl) and its perfect for me! Which makes me wonder what wrong. I though I brought my iPod cord with me today but I ended up snatching my phone cord so I am awaiting the arrival of my husband with it so I can print off my resume and fax it in. My fingers are tired of being crossed, so they will remain in their normal positions for this one.

Fun, more Fun and exciting news!

Well, I've been having tons of fun hanging out with my friends.
And for the good news!? Jon might be getting a job! He had an interview at a company in Fernley about a week ago, and he should be getting a call for a second interview sometime next week maybe. CaTina's husband David works there, so that fact is helping a lot. I don't want to get my hopes up too soon, but I can't help it sometimes.
