Winter Wonderland?

My white Christmas came early, and didn't last, yes there is technically still snow on the ground but nothing fresh, so its all brown snow. Last night I got a glimpse of my Christmas last year in Utah, HUGE silver dollar size flakes were falling for about 10-15 minutes. I soaked in every second of it.
Weather.com is predicting a 30% chance of snow at 11:00 (in an hour.) Currently the sun is shining and there are barely any clouds in the sky. I'm not holding my breath. My white Christmas probably won't be happening this year.

Jon did some work in Elko and bought me a digital camera! It didn't come with a battery charger so I have one on order, but once I get it all charged up I will be adding more pictures onto here, it will be nice to have a camera I can take everywhere with me.

Wednesday night is Christmas with my family, then its off to Lovelock Thursday and then again on Friday. Maggie will be going with us Thursday, I hope she behaves herself. I will have to bring her tennis ball (her favorite toy) just so she has something to be entertained with.

Christmas time!

It finally happened! It snowed!
Last night my little brothers in law were talking about having a snow day, I told them no way, that would never happen. Well, it did! I can't even believe it.
I am at work with mom today, Jon gets to go play and have fun in the snow, Maggie loves the snow also. I'm hoping to get some pictures of her in it up, so cute.

3 things that make an amazing story.

Jon and I went and saw New Moon last night!
We just stayed in Fallon this time, and I figured it wouldn't be that crowded, but geesh! We were in the line all the way out side, and by the time we got to the ticket counter, there were only 3 seats left! We were told they weren't together, but Jon decided we should try it anyways, and good thing he did! There were two seat back row center! How lucky were we.
I loved the movie, I think they did a great job. I was told by someone who shall not be named that Twilight was better, ummm I think NOT! Of course, the books will never mount up to the movies, but I really liked it, and will probably go see it again with my sister next week. I think I saw Twilight about 6 times when it was in theaters, I don't think I will make it quite that far but I'll go for 2. I am very glad that I decided to read all of the Twilight books, or else I would be in such suspense to see what happens.
June of next year will be a vampire overload! Eclipse will be coming out and also the third season of True Blood. I will get my fix to last me a long time, well maybe just a while.

You know I'm such a fool for you

Well, I am at my last day of work here in Fernley, I'm listening to Linger by The Cranberries, just watched a New Moon trailer (I'm not really looking forward to seeing it in a theater with a bunch of screaming girls) eating a bag of chex mix, and its not TOO extremely hot outside(yet) so my day is going pretty well. Tonight Jon and I are going to a fight night here in town with some boxing, Ultimate Fighting, and other forms of violence. I actually don't mind it, its pretty interesting and I'm getting excited!

I've been helping my friend move into their new appartment, it made me realize how much crap I have in storage. I can't wait til Jon and I are finally out on our own and I can go through it all and get rid of some stuff. Usually when you move, everytime you loose something, but with us moving 6 times in 2 years I seem to have gained some things.

I interviewed for a job yesterday, and I should know by the beginning of next week weather I have the job or not. I am like 50/50 about getting it, it will be great if I get it cause there are going to be a lot of fees coming our way soon, but if I don't then it leaves it open for Jon and I to move wherever once he gets a job and we won't be having to be stuck around here. But I am leaving it to fate, so we will see what direction our lives go.

Dull

This weekend won't entail much. Pizza with the girls tonight, and hopefully something interesting tomorrow. We will be married 2 years on Monday so we will be heading up to Reno for the day.
I've been waiting for life to get more exciting, but nothing seems to be happening. I applied for a job the other day, but still no call. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I leave work in approximatley 12 minutes, then a hot drive home, to the store for dog food, then relxing for about an hour then its off to pizza.

Not much has been going on, I've turned 22, been working every Friday in Fernley, and sometimes a Monday in thrown in there. I've also been hanging out a lot with my BFF CaTina and baby Justine, and that is always a blast.
We've been having some cooler weather the past few days, its been nice to have a break from the heat wave.
Thats about all my life consists of, nice and interesting huh?

INDEPENDANCE DAY

yesterday we went to the lake! I haven't been out to the lake in forever!
I thought we'd spend a few hours out there, 9 hours later! Lets just say Jon is pretty fried and I am beat!

Maggie's Adventures

I have been saying day after day that I need to get our camera out of storage, but I really do. I need to start documenting some of the things that we do. It would be a lot easier also if I had a camera that fit well in my purse or pocket, our is so big! But, thanks to my camera phone I have once in a while remembered to take a picture or two of what we have been up to, well more what MAGGIE has been up to.

Maggie has been up to no good.

She has recently made a friend though, the Robertson's dog Mazie used to hate her, but she recently lost her puppy in an accident so I think that is what has made her take to Maggie so suddenly. They are the best of friends! Usually when Maggie wants to go outside and play, Mazie is right there tell her to come out and play. I want to get a video of them soon, they are so cute together!

Also we went fishing at Rye Patch and of course, Maggie had a BLAST! I hate that I didn't get any pictures of her that day, but after I caught a fish (the only one of the day I might add) and we put it on the string and stuck it in the water, Maggie went out, grab it by the fin and drug it to shore again. So we had to just stick it straight into the cooler, she wouldn't leave it alone! Once we got home, she was lost forever in sleep.

And we should no better by now to leave food out, but we though these were safely packaged.

We left Maggie in the room while we ran into town (its getting too hot to bring her with us) and she got into Dad's precious Cup of Soups. I had to send him a picture, she was in trouble lol.

I just realized something...as I was watching the New Moon trailer, then Twilight on my iPod, I realized Jacob doesn't have long hair anymore! I think I like it better, he looked weird with his long hair.

Here It Comes Again...

I am not obsesive compulsive I promise, but when I woke up this morning I knew the New Moon Trailer was debued last night on the MTV Movie Awards so on my cool new Blackberry I went onto Youtube and found it! I think this movie is going to be so much better than the first one. I think I need to read the book again though, I can't remember much. But, I have til November! (just head over to my sidebar if you want to watch it, I know you do)

Not too much has been going on, I keep visiting my favorite baby anytime I can, and over Memorial Weekend my family and I went fishing! Of course by the time we got there all fish had already been fished, but we still had a good time.

Well, I have to love spring you know. Coming home, I get a wif of the growing alfalfa, the cotton blowing off the trees and ACHEW ACHEW ACHEW! I've got watery itchy eyes, a cough, and a soar itchy throat. Welcome HOME!

So Long, Fair Well...

Well, Thursday is my final day at working at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It has been almost a year! I have enjoyed my job, really. Of course I have those days when I just want to scream at the ungreaful customer, but who doesn't right? So long, my steady job. I shall miss you.

It's all coming to me now....

Well, I have been really excited to be heading back home to Fallon but today I really thought about it, and everything I am excited for is really only a tiny part! There are so many things and stresses I am going to have to deal with! I won't have a job, so in other words no money. And how far can you get in life with no money? Wow, what on earth am I going to do? I don't know what town I I am going to have to be working in so I can't really look for one. AHHH! Why isn't there a fast forward button on life huh?

We're coming home!

The other night Jon and I were looking at when we come home and how far away it is and we realized its only 2 weeks! Not this weekend but next weekend we are heading home! I am so excited. I guess I better get cracking on the packing!

Its raining, its pouring...

Well, it has been quite an eventful month.
We are almost home for about another 3 weeks, which I am getting more and more excited about. May will be a very busy month.
We have had about 24 hours of rain here, and once in a while snow. I don't know what is going on with that. I really don't mind the raid though, its peaceful.
I am watching America Idol right now, and I really like Chris and Danny last night. I think this was a good theme they picked this week.
All though my first choice of reality show to watch is Dancing with the Stars, it is just so much more interesting. And since my girl Holly is long gone, I am favoring Melissa now. I didn't watch the Bachelor but she is so much fun to watch one the show.
Well, tomorrow is another day, we will see what the weather brings.

Its Spring! No, wait its Winter

Well, Spring conditions didn't last very long. Today we are living in snow once again. It doesn't really bother me, because when the weather is the same everyday, its gets kind of boring so the change is good.
Jon and I only have about 5 weeks left here in Utah, and I am SO ready! Living so far away from family and friends makes me miss every event. I missed my best friend's baby shower! I was planning on going and ended up not being able to and all day yesterday I was really bumbed.
Twilight came out on DVD! I don't own it yet, but I rented it and watched it and have determined it really isn't as good as the book (nothing ever is) and I hope the next one is better.
Our camera is dead so I don't have any new pictures to put up, but what goes on in my life that is picture worthy really?
I have promised myself that I would stop changing my background and stuff on here as often as I do, its so addicting though! I was bad with my myspace when I had one and I need just let my background stay on here for a while before I change it.. I'm done.

American Idol

I am so mad at American Idol! I LOVED Alexis and now she is voted off! Yeah she didn't pick a great song but was so much betther than most (ahem ahem ADAM LAMBERT!)
I can't usually watch it all the way through because I get really bored (and Dancing with the Stars Results are on) but I always made sure I caught Aelxis, and now what is going to happen!?

1. Nevada Rain, it is the best smell in the world. I wish I could just bottle it up.

2. Twilight... it is filled with so much passion and love. The best love story I have ever read.

4. Taking my dog to the park, and seeing how happy she is to run around and be outside, I can't wait til we have a yard where she can do it anytime she wants.

Snowboarding!!!

Well, I did it! Jon and I went snowboarding at an actual ski resort yesterday and I did really well! Of course today, I can definitly feel every time I fell but I still had TONS of fun!

Well, we have been going snowboarding for a few days now, and I am getting really good, I did a lot better runs than what is here, but you know, you never get the good ones on camera.

I wish I had pictures for proof, but ever since we got back from Nevada it has been snowing! Today after work, Jon thought it would be a good idea to go to this one place that has a hill and teach me to snowboard. Of course I was a little sceptical about the size of this "hill" because Jon tends to under exaggerate. But when we got there, it seemed ok, and I did pretty well! I still have to get used to going fast, I don't really like that part. Maggie also had fun, she just ran up the hill, down the hill, up the hill down the hill. Plus the snow was deeper than her so that was funny.

A little mischief

This little butt has become quite the hand full. She is like a child sometimes, but a lot harder because you can't really communicate with her.

She has realized she can growl, and at everything! Since we are living on the bottom floor there are a lot of sounds outside, and she decides she has to growl at every single one of them. Plus, once the sound has past, she continues to growl and growl and growl! Nothing can make her stop.

She loves digging through the trash, so whenever we are gone we have to hide it. But she has decided that if I am just in the other room, taking a shower, or even just watching T.V. she has the right to dump it over and dig through it. So needless to say, its hidden 24/7 now.

Jon says she is 7 in dog years, and she sure is acting like it. I think she still thinks she is a baby, well hopefully she snaps out of all of this soon!

AHHHH!

Well, last night was quite the adventure. I got home from work and once we finally decided what to have for dinner Jon said he would cook it, so I laid on the couch and relaxed. Pretty soon the apartment was starting to fill with smoke! We turned the fan on but it wasn't working, and we opened all the windows and it still wasn't working! Then the FIRE ALARM went off in our building!!! How embarasing, luckily no one knew it was us.


Turns out, instead of the corn, the oil got turned up to high! Our dinner was smoking everywhere!


So once things got settled down and the fire alarm finally got turned off (about 15 minutes later) he decided to just put our stakes into the oven with our potatoes.


Once everything was done, we were sitting down eating our dinner, which wasn't as good as it was supposed to be, and then we hear this CRACK! We look and the pan that we had cooked our steaks in had completely shattered!

After this occured, we decided to just get out of the apartment. At least before anything else happens. We spoiled ourselves to some yummy icecream from Baskin Robins (I haven't eaten there in FOREVER!)

While we were out we found a $3 movie theater we didn't know existed, and guess what is playing there among the many movies, thats right Twilight! I think I might just have to go see it.
